Shakespeare's Globe seeks new Chief Executive
The current Chief Executive of Shakespeare's Globe, Peter Kyle, has announced his intention to retire from the role in November 2010. Peter Kyle was appointed as Chief Executive in 1998 following the theatre's opening season. He has run the organisation ever since.
Roger Parry, Chairman of The Shakespeare’s Globe Trust, comments:
"Peter has been an outstandingly successful Chief Executive over the past twelve years. Under his leadership The Globe has enjoyed considerable artistic and financial success. The Board is sorry to see him retire but we all understand his reasons and recognise that twelve years is a very long time in any Chief Executive role."
Peter Kyle comments:
"It has been a tremendous privilege to head up Shakespeare’s Globe during its formative period. This remarkable organisation is now well established and has just completed its most successful year ever. With a strongly committed senior management team and trustee body, it is now poised to take full advantage of wider opportunities."
The Trustees of Shakespeare’s Globe have appointed executive search firm JCA Group to assist them in appointing a new Chief Executive Officer. For more details please click here »
